Come join our Systems Security growing organisation. We are chartered with architecting, implementing and operating security solutions protecting Salesforce’s complex technology landscape.

As a Principal or Lead Software Engineer, you will collaborate on multi-functional initiatives, interacting with engineers, developers and technical program managers to build and operate security services at company-wide scale .
You will be part of a dynamic team that demonstrates groundbreaking technology, having the chance to create, develop, test, deploy and operate solutions end-to-end across complex, secure public and private cloud environments at Salesforce.

Responsibilities:

• Design, development, test and deployment of new security services

• Own quality and drive automated testing and continuous deployments

• Provide mentorship and best practices to service teams adopting cloud native workloads

• Participate in the architecture and solution design

• Generate technical specifications/documentation

• Collaborate with product management to create user-centric solutions

• Participate and support agile software development process

Required Skills/Experience:

• Software development background

• Expertise in a mainstream language such as golang/python

• Experience in operating with at least one of the major public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Shown understanding in declarative configuration platforms (puppet, terraform, cloud formation)

• Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes), container runtimes (docker)

• Experience handling code through source control, using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Spinnaker, Terraform)

• Strong knowledge of operating systems, network security and open source products

• Familiarity with designing cloud native architectures & paradigms

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Knowledge of security best practices around authorization, authentication, encryption, signing, OS hardening.

• Security testing/vulnerability assessment/code scanning/Pen testing/manual source code inspection

• Static security code scanning tools such as Checkmarx, Nexus IQ, Chekov, Sonarqube, Snyk

• Relevant security certification (CISSP, CISM, CSSLP, CISA)

• Experience of threat modelling and security risk assessment
